BANDUNG, speitbsc.org – Collaborating with HMTM “PATRA” ITB and IATMI SM ITB, SPE ITB SC conducted one more event, called “After Graduation Path (AGP) 2.0” on Friday (15/09/17). It was held from 13.00 – 15.00 at Total Handil Room, Petroleum Building, ITB. AGP 2.0 provided us many beneficial knowledges to improve our benevolent in choosing our future career path, especially about proceeding our study overseas and how to get the scholarship. Two speakers, Isna Rasyad Hanief (PE 2011) and Handita Reksi (PE 2011), were invited to share their experiences to the audience. Isna Rasyad Hanief, who is called Hanief, shared about his experience studying Master of Science in Oil and Gas Enterprise Management in University of Aberdeen while Handita Reksi, who is called Handita, sharing about studying Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering in Institut Francais du Petrole (IFP School).
Led by Maria Yohana (PE 2015) as the moderator, there were so many things discussed related to the topic. Both speakers generally had the same background, i.e. when they graduated, the condition in oil industry was terrible because the oil price was falling down. But it didn’t mean that they didn’t intend to study overseas. Actually, they had thought about proceeding their study after graduating from ITB.
“Besides Aberdeen is a well-known university, I also chose Aberdeen because of its oil and gas major, which is every great. To afford my living cost and tuition fee, I got LPDP scholarship”, Hanief said. “I got double-degree scholarship from Total, which I found in ITB Career Center. So I chose ITB and IFP”, Handita said. They also told the audience about their difficulties, and how they managed to get the scholarship. “You have to make a great CV because CV does tell others about yourself before meeting you. You have to make it outstanding”, Hanief said.
